What place does media and technology take in our lives? To what extent did we become image addicts?
I question our relationship and our behaviors towards the omnipresence of images, and proposes a variation of the media’s overconsumption. For the young masters I propose catalogues from the known Christie’s and Sotheby’s but remasterized with my own work.
A curious eye on the world I evolved in, the taste of surpassing myself and parents both photographers are as many determining elements of course characterized by a coherent evolution and focus on my passion for books and magazines that I collects from the age of 10.
Throughout my artistic education, I explore the theme of graphic contamination: take a picture and tear it to see what you can get out of it, or a paradoxical approach of a controlled “creative destruction”. I spend hours playing on the image with a cutter to give another value to a magazine or a book, a second life, through an exploration of textures, materials, and reliefs … having sometimes resort to the resin technique, which perpetuates the paper. I am particularly interested in the status media occupies in people’s lives. For some, magazines have almost become a religion, a mandatory manual for their everyday lives. Indeed, they explain how to eat, how to deal with our sexual, sentimental, and social lives… “
